Director of Programs & Outreach
Tina Robbins is the Director of Programs & Outreach at the OHorizons Foundation, responsible for implementation and oversight of initiatives in the field.
As an international development professional, Ms. Robbins has expertise in government regulation compliance (particularly USAID), youth capacity building, gender mainstreaming, proposal development, and project implementation. She has vast in-country experience as part of various project teams, including time spent in Afghanistan, Brazil, Cape Verde, Egypt, Iraq Mozambique, Pakistan The Philippines, and Ukraine.
Across her career, Ms. Robbins has been responsible for overall leadership of various projects and activities, often managing personnel, budgets and reporting. She has been tapped to help refine existing processes to gain efficiencies, has developed quality control processes, been responsible for pursuing new business opportunities for social enterprises, has developed price estimates, proposals and training materials, and worked with various partner agencies and organizations to understand needs and establish opportunities.
As part of her focus on being an engaged global citizen, she has held professional and volunteer roles with a variety of social and economic development organizations including the American Red Cross, Youth Volunteer Corps, AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, Chemonics International Inc., and URS Corporation.
Mr. Robbins speaks Portuguese and Kriolu (Cape Verde) proficiently and is conversational in French. She earned an International MBA from the Moore School of Business in South Carolina and a B.A. in Construction Management from Ferris State University. She also has completed extensive continuing education courses, programs and certificates related to her work experience and opportunities.
